Books of the Bible | F.A.I.T.H. Series: A is for Available: "Here I Am, Lord: The Call of Samuel"
Imagine finding a path from brokenness to breakthrough, and paving the way with faith and determination. That's the journey I embarked on, leading to the release of my book, "Why Not Me? A Blueprint from Brokenness to Breakthrough." In this episode of Q for Christ, I share the transformative QUICKEN framework that has been my guiding light—Quicken, United, Educated, Understanding, Excited, and Determined. Join me for an exploration of how embracing these values can empower your spiritual journey.
What does it mean to be truly FAITHFUL? We unpack this question by examining the FAITHFUL acronym—Faithful, Available, Interdependent, Teachable, and Hungry for God. Through the stories of biblical figures like Samuel and insights from scriptures such as Hebrews 11:1 and Isaiah 6:8, we explore how faithfulness and availability open us to God's call. Delve into the beauty of interdependence, the humility of teachability, and the passionate pursuit of righteousness, supported by real-life anecdotes and biblical wisdom.
Our spiritual journey is also about trust and transformation. By listening to God's voice, as Samuel did, we learn the importance of obedience and spiritual habits. Using the A-C-T-S acronym—Acknowledge, Confess, Turn, Seek—we explore how transformation comes from giving our lives to Christ and the profound change it brings. Wrapping up with a heartfelt prayer and encouragement to stay connected, I invite you to join our Q for Christ community and find support, inspiration, and love on this journey of faith. Visit our website for more resources to aid your spiritual growth, and let's continue this journey together.

Hi everyone, this is Kiana, your creator and the host of Q for Christ, and I am so excited to be up here. Oh, my goodness, it has been such a journey, a journey, a journey, a journey when I say a journey, this week has been just a little, um, a little difficult, but it's been great because God is good, because God is over, right. So, anyways, I um want to get on here. As you can see, I am here alone, but it's okay, because we got Elder Harper there traveling, and Hillary, she's traveling, and she might be able to join us in a minute, and so while I'm sitting here talking, you know, I can tell y'all a little bit about the book.
Speaker 1:I want you all, I want to say thank you to everyone that has purchased the book. Okay, I am so excited to even be able to say that I am an author now. Okay, that is something that I've always dreamt about being. I always thought that being an author you had to be like a professor or something like that. You had to be like, you know, some extinguished person or whatnot. But not to say that I'm not, but I'm just saying you know, it has always been a dream of mine and to have done it. It's a beautiful experience. So I want to say thank you to everyone that has purchased the book. Um, I don't see everybody, and so you know I have some people that have sent me pictures that they have gotten their book and everything, so I'm so excited about that. If you want to go in and purchase the book, you can always go to amazoncom and you can go and you can get your book. Why not me? It's a blueprint from brokenness to breakthrough, okay, and when I say that, I say that you know, with everything in my heart, that this book right here is something that I live. It's nothing that I in that book is nothing that I put in there just to just to be writing. I put in there because I know that it can help you get to your breakthrough and I know that it is going to be such a. It's such a beautiful, um, a beautiful thing. What God has given me, this framework, what God has given me. Okay, and when I tell you that it is, it is my lifestyle now, it is definitely my lifestyle, and I talk to people about being cued and you know you like I tell people sometimes I have to go back to the calling that God has called me to, that quickening.
Speaker 1:You know um, the acronym quicken, united, educated, understanding, excited and determined. So sometimes I have to go back to that calling. I have to see what God has called me. I have to be like you really called me to this God. I have to make sure that he called me to this. And then sometimes I have to just get around people, unite myself with others, people that you know are doing the things that God is taking me to, even the next level that I'm on. I have to get around those type of people and then I get more education.
Speaker 1:Education is something that I always, always talk about and you know we have to make sure we're educating ourselves. We have to find out ways to get more education. And then, after I do all of that sometimes I may have to understand it again I say God, you, really, you know I have to understand what God is doing and where he's taking me. But after I go back to the beginning, I get it and then I get more excited and determined. So you will see me all year. You'll be like, oh, she done, got excited, she done got determined to do what God said yes. Yes, that means I done went through this acronym Okay, because certain days I'd be like, oh God, like you really called me to this.
Speaker 1:Oh God, okay. But you know, it is amazing, like I always say, that this is something that I get to do. You know, I don't have to do it, I get to do it, and it's a privilege to be a vessel for Christ. It's a privilege to do the things that he has called me to do, to be able to do it, you know, and have the grace to do it. You know, because some days I get up and I'll be like Lord, I don't want to, I don't feel like it, but some days I have to, I have to push through it. You know, my mom always told me it's a blessing in the present, and so one thing that I have learned is to continue to keep pushing.
Speaker 1:All right, so so, anyways, I just wanted to say that, um, I am, as you know, this is the books of the Bible, okay. So I said all of that to say this, this Bible, and this is something that is so near and dear to my heart, and so anytime, any time that I have to be able to do this is something that I I. I literally say I am going to do it. You know, I have to go. Even when I'm tired, even when I'm sick, even when I'm not feeling well, I have to get up here and do this because this is where I get my strength and I and I and I say that because I am deciphering the Bible and being able to read the Bible, being able to learn it on a different scale, is different for me. And so I'm excited to be up here with the books of the Bible. I'm excited to be on here and, like I said last week, if you want to join me, you can make sure you reach out to me, OK, and then we'll get you on here.
Speaker 1:So, anyways, anyways, I am going to say a quick prayer before I go any further and then we will just dive right on into it, because we have been talking about faith and I'm going to reiterate the acronym and then I'll go into the lesson of today. So, anyways, dear Heavenly Father, I come to you, god, I say thank you for everything that you are doing in our life, god. I thank you for all the ways that you have made, all the doors that you have opened, everything that you're doing in our life. God, I thank you for all the ways that you have made, all the doors that you have opened, everything that you're doing. God, we count it all, joy. God, we just thank you now for allowing us to be able to discuss the word of God.
Speaker 1:God, we thank you now for the houses that are watching God, that are represented on this line. God, go with them now. Touch them in their needs. God, you know their needs. God, you know if they're sick. You know if they need a financial blessing. God, you know if they need peace. God, we just ask you now to touch them, god, from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, god.
Speaker 1:God, we ask you now. Even the ones that want to be here, god, we thank you now for them, the ones that are watching later, the ones that are watching even next year, god, we ask you to give them the strength from on high, god, because we know that you can do it, and so we thank you, god, for allowing me to be here, god, even throughout the sickness that the enemy has tried to inflict on my body. God, we just thank you now because we know that you sit high and look low and you can do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think. So we thank you now for what you're doing. We love you, god, for who you are. We thank you now for hiding me behind the cross, allowing someone to receive this word, god, that you have given me, god, I thank you now just for allowing it to go to the right person, that you're trying to get it to God. And so we thank you now, god, for what you're doing. We thank you, we love you, we honor you, we cherish you. It's in Jesus' name that I pray. Amen, got to shake it off. Huh, oh, hallelujah. We thank you. We thank you for for being here. Um, I'm talking to the holy spirit. We thank you, thank him for being here, because he is here.
Speaker 1:So, anyways, anyways, as you know, a couple weeks ago, we started on faith, and God has given us this acronym a couple years ago, where we are just just learning faith. I mean, faith is something that we all need. Okay, because it's it's better to have it before you need it, right, but we often need faith, and so that's why we have to strengthen our faith, and the only way that we can strengthen our faith is by continuing to do the things that god has called us to do and continuing to look past the situation. Okay, we have to always look past what the enemy is trying to give, give, put on us, okay, um, and so the acronym that God has given me is something that we are diving into and we're taking a book of the Bible where we are going to talk about that acronym for that month, okay, and so I wanted to give you that. I want it, you know, if this is your first time watching, I want you to understand that this is what we're doing on the books of the Bible. For this month, ok, and well, this season, right, and so.
Speaker 1:So the acronym that God has given me is faithful, right, it start with faithful, that's the F, like the Bible says in Hebrews 11 and one, like the Bible says in Hebrews 11 and 1, now, faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. And so we know faithfulness means trusting God consistently, even when circumstances are challenging. You know, we have to be able to know that we can be reliable and steadfast in our relationship with him, so we cannot allow the enemy to come and, yeah, he show us things, but we can't allow the things to distract us from being faithful to what God has called us to do. Okay, and so we have to remain faithful in our daily walk. We have to remain faithful, okay.
Speaker 1:So we talked about that all last month. We talked about a couple of people that was faithful, and so the next acronym is available. Okay, we have to make sure that we are available. The Bible says in Isaiah 6 and 8, then I heard the voice of the Lord saying whom shall I send and who will go for us? And I said here I am, send me. Okay, we know that being available means being ready, basically, and willing to serve God whenever he calls. Okay, we have to make sure that we are open and available to what God has called us to. Okay, we have to make sure that we are open and available to what God has called us to. Okay, and so then the next one is interdependent. Okay, and the Bible says in 1 Corinthians, 12 and 12,.
Speaker 1:Just as a body, though, one has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. Okay, we know that your faith, getting around the right community, your faith can grow. Okay, interdependence it means recognizing our needs for others in the body of Christ and contributing to the collective growth of the church. Okay, so meaning that we all need each other. We all need it, just like your hand needs your feet you know what I'm saying Like your whole body, of course, your hand needs your feet, and I know that. I know y'all.
Speaker 1:If y'all mind like mine, you're probably thinking, oh, what if somebody ain't got no hand or whatever? I don't know why I was thinking about that, but it makes other body parts have to do more, right? So if you ain't got, if you're missing a foot or whatever, and it makes your other part have to do more. So that's why we are needing each other. So nobody will work harder than the other, right? Nobody will work harder than the other, right?
Speaker 1:So, anyway, the next acronym is teachable. And so the Bible says in Proverbs 9 and 9, instruct the wise, and they will be wiser. Still, teach the righteous, and they will add to their learning. You know, we have to have a teachable spirit because it is very important for spiritual growth. Okay, we have to have a teachable spirit, you have to. It requires humility and willingness to learn from God, his word and others right. So we have to be able to learn from each other. If you ain't teachable, then I've heard that if you ain't learning, you dead right, because we learn something new every day. How many know we learn something new every day, child.
Speaker 1:And so the last letter H is hunger. And the Bible says in Matthew 5 and 6, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. We know a deeper hunger for God drives us to seek him passionately. Okay, it fuels our desire to grow closer to him and to live according to his will. So we know that the more hunger we have, the more we'll seek. Right, you know and I don't know why I'm thinking about this but, like, when people get real, real hungry, they're going to want what they want, right? You know some people I don't want that. You know what I'm saying. But you have to have that hunger, you know.
Speaker 1:I remember they used to say if you're hungry, you'll eat anything, not necessarily. Okay, if you're hungry, you want the right thing, you want something that'll, that'll, that'll get you. But you got some people. You, hungry, you'll eat anything. Not, I said the cat, I ain't gonna eat anything, not me.
Speaker 1:So but anyways, today, what we are going to talk about is the A. Well, this month we are going to be talking, we're going to spend time talking about available and how we can be more available when God calls us to doing the things. You know, when God calls us to being to do things that he need for us, we need to be in to do things that he need for us. We need to be more available. And so the first person that I wanted to start with, the first person in the Bible that I wanted to start with, I wanted to. Last time I went from a man to a woman. To a young boy this one, I'm going from a young boy and I'm going to go up. Woman to a young boy this one, I'm going from a young boy and I'm going to go up. And so I want to talk about Samuel. The lesson is here I am Lord, the call of Samuel. So I am going to read 1 Samuel, 3 and 1 through 10 out of the ESV version, and then I'll dive a little bit further in the message. So the Bible says, so I guess I'll give y'all a little quick story.
Speaker 1:Okay, we know that Hannah, she wanted a son, she wanted a baby. So we know that Hannah was. You know, if you know, well, you might not know the story and I suggest that you go back and you go read the story really really well, ok, but we know that Hannah, which is Samuel's mom, she had wanted a son really bad, and when she was in there praying they thought she was drunk and, you know, god opened up her womb and gave her a son and she dedicated him to God. And so, as a young boy now she, I was looking this up boy, now she, I was looking this up so she took him. After she nursed him, she took him back to Eli, which is the prophet that she had promised, that she was going to dedicate the son back to God. And she took him back at the early age of three, okay, and so he, at this point he had already had some type of training from Eli, ok, so I just tried to speed y'all up.
Speaker 1:It's a little speed up, but it's not, it's not as deep as it could be. But you, like I say every week, I encourage you, please go and read these chapters thoroughly. Please go and read these chapters thoroughly, okay, and you can find whatever translation that you can understand, okay, um, I know everybody's been raised on the k? Kjv, but if you don't understand it, you gotta be able to cross reference, you gotta be able to look at different translation. Okay, that's free for somebody. So, anyways, I am going to read now. So where we're picking up at is where Samuel was. I think they said that when I read it it said he was about 12 at this point. So I'm going to read 1 Samuel 3, chapter 3, 1 through 10.
Speaker 1:It says Now the boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli, and the word of the Lord was rare in those days. There were no frequent visions, so a lot of people wasn't getting visions at this time. Okay, but Samuel, at the young age of 12, was getting visuals, I mean visions from God. And so at verse two it said at that time Eli, whose eyesight had begun to grow dim so that he could not see, was lying down in his own place. The lamp of God had not yet gone out and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord where the ark of God was. Verse four says then the Lord called Samuel and he said here I am. And ran to Eli and said here I am for you called me. But he said I did not call you, lie down again. So he went and lay down. Now can you imagine him going to him and being like you called me? Then you know, I can just imagine, because he's like, wait a minute, I know I ain't going crazy, you called me. So anyways.
Speaker 1:Verse six says and the Lord called again Samuel. And Samuel rose and went to Eli and said here, I am for you, called me. But he said I did not call my son, lay down again. Verse seven says now Samuel did not yet know the Lord and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed in him. And verse eight says and the Lord called Samuel again the third time. He rose and went to Eli and said here I am, for you called me. Then Eli perceived that the Lord called Samuel again the third time. He rose and went to Eli and said here I am for you called me. The. Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. Therefore Eli said to Samuel go lay, go lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say speak, lord, for your servant hears. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
Speaker 1:Verse 10 says and the Lord came and stood, call it, as at other times, samuel, samuel. And Samuel says speak, for your servant hears. Then the Lord said to Samuel behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which the two ears of everyone who hears it will tingle, and I think I went to verse 11. So, anyways, I mean, can you imagine if God actually called you? You don't know, you'd be like fuck me, you'd be like you know, and so for him to go and be like, ok, what do you call me? But here I am.
Speaker 1:And so you know, we know God calls those who are willing. You know, we have to know that, regardless of his age, his experience or status, samuel availability teaches us how to respond to God's voice and embrace his plans, because sometimes, like I say, we a lot of people and I've said this before, and this shows right here that you have to know the voice of the Lord A lot of people don't know the voice of the Lord, and so if God is calling you and you don't know that that's his voice, it'll be hard for you to listen, it'll be hard for you to do anything, because you don't know that that's the voice of the Lord. And so that's one of the things that I try to tell people. In order for you to understand that God is calling you, that God has said I need you to do this, I need you to do that, you have to spend time with him to know his voice. See, at this age, samuel, he was young, he was too young, he didn't know the voice of the Lord. And it says it right there in. Let's see what scripture it was. It says it in um seven, verse seven.
Speaker 1:Now, samuel did not know the Lord and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him, so he didn't know his voice at this time. Now, granted, and he was, he knew how to minister, but he didn't know his voice, and that's important. I don't know who this is for, but it's a lot of people out here that are ministering but they don't know the voice of the Lord. Okay, that's free right there for y'all, but it's a lot of people out here that are just doing things in the name of the Lord and don't even know his voice and don't obey his voice, right? And so we have to know that it is important to be available and how we can position ourselves to hear and obey God's voice, and so we have to make sure that we are spending time right. We are spending time, we are praying, we are reading our word, we are, you know, getting around, you know the like-minded people.
Speaker 1:We want to be able to know that we are meditating on the word of God, where we can be able to hear if God has called you, okay. So the first point that I want to talk about is being available. It requires listening, right. You've got to be able to listen. You have to be able to listen to what God has called and said. You have to be able to recognize his voice Right to what God has called and said. You have to be able to recognize his voice right. We know Samuel. He heard God's voice but didn't recognize it. Okay, at first he thought Eli was calling him. Despite the confusion, samuel remained attentive and responsive.
Speaker 1:So, even though sometimes we may not know if God's for us, we still have to remain attentive and responsive, okay, and find out whether this is God. And the only and one of the ways that you can find out if it's God is by praying. Okay, because sometimes we get words and we get this and somebody prophesies that you're going to win a hundred million or something. I don't know why I said that Maybe God's going to give me an amen. Anyways, you get prophesied that you're going to win X amount of dollars or you're going to do this, you're going to do that, and we have to know that. We have to be able to recognize if this is my word, okay. If this is my word, okay, you have to go and you have to position yourself to listen to whether God is telling you this.
Speaker 1:Okay, we know that it is like it is so much in this world that is going on, it's so many distractions, you know, but we got to be able to create space for God, so we want to be able to hear his voice through our prayers, through the scriptures, through the stillness, the meditating. Okay, I, um, let me, I get one, one of the ways that I hear and, like I think I did a show before on um, my sheep knows my voice and I was talking about how you know, sometimes we can hear somebody saying mama, calling mama, and if we far, if we too far, then we might think it's our child, right, but then we, when we, the closer you get and you realize that that's not your child, it's like, oh, that's not my child, okay, because you know the voice of your child. But the closer and the more time you spend with God, that is the only way that you're going to be able to know what God's voice. That's the only way you're going to be able to hear. You know what I'm saying. That is the only way that you'll be able to say and be sure about it right. Because if you don't got your calling or your quickening, like I talk about, you will say I'm sure that God called me. I am sure that God called me. You know what I'm saying. When God called me to this place, nobody can change my mind about where I am. I don't care what the situation is, because I'm sure that God has called me right.
Speaker 1:And so that's why we have to be able to reflect on our spiritual listening habits. We have to spend time praying. We have to spend time even though he didn't know the voice of the Lord. He was ministering. So he knew how to minister, he knew how to pray, he knew how to read his word, he knew how to do this. Those are the spiritual like Petey passed a day saying you ain't got to be in the spiritual gym. Those are the ones that you have to be doing. You have to be strong enough to know when God is calling you.
Speaker 1:Okay, and I know, sometimes I like I know that life be life and don't get me wrong, I ain't sit up here saying that it's easy, said and done, cause I'm not. I'm trust me. So when I get a word from God, I have to be like, okay, god, is this you? And then I get my confirmation by praying. I get my confirmation by listening to a sermon, somebody speaking the same thing that God has told me, and it's like, oh, okay, that's what I'm supposed to be doing. It's a rhema word that you can get right from someone, a rhema word that you can get right from from someone. Okay, so we have to make sure that we are intentional about listening to God's voice in our daily lives. Okay, that is.
Speaker 1:That is the first point, and the second one is being available requires obedience. We don't like that word. I remember going to a wedding. The lady was like take that obedience. No, we don't want to. A lot of people don't like to hear obedience, because we know a lot of people have said, oh, you know, obedience is better than sacrifice. I know y'all have heard that over and over and over again, obedience is better than sacrifice. But we have to know that we have to be obedient. You know, after being instructed by Eli, samuel obeyed and responded to God with speak, for your servant is listening.
Speaker 1:Obedience was key to Samuel stepping into his prophetic role. Okay, so we have to know that we got to be obedient. Right, we can sit up here and talk about this and talk about that and say we're going to do this and do that. And I heard and it's so crazy because I was talking to somebody just today we were saying that half obedient is still disobedience. Right, you got some people that'll do something and say, well, I did something. I don't know why I go to that point, I did do something, but that is still disobedience. Okay, half obedience is still disobedient. So what if Samuel had to say okay, god speak, you know, and not the rest? I don't know, I'm just saying, but we have to know that it's not enough to just hear God's voice, we must also act on it.
Speaker 1:Obedience, even when we feel unsure or unqualified, is very essential, very important. We have to make sure that we are being obedient because sometimes a lot of people will only be obedient when they got a full understanding. Let me tell y'all faith. You have to be able to move, even when you don't have a full understanding. Okay, you have to be able to say, oh, I'm going to do it because God said do it. It ain't no ifs, ands and buts about it, because we can sit up here and we can talk about being faithful and talking about being available and talking about, you know, being interdependent and all that stuff. But you still have to sometimes move without understanding, without getting a full understanding.
Speaker 1:Okay, god often sends us the trailer. He often, like Pastor Davis had said before, that God give us this movie trailer and we don't know the middle part. We just know the end. Right, we know that it's going to end up good. So we have to be able to look beyond. Okay, what is going?
Speaker 1:So you have to move in that obedience, whether you understand or not, whether you are unsure or not. Right, you know we have to reflect on areas where we've heard God's direction but maybe hesitate to obey. Like what are you hesitating to obey God for right? That's one thing that we need to be working on because we don't want to be half obedient, right, and of course I go to my children all the time because they my children. Anyways, I can use them, right, so I can tell them to do something. And I'll just say, tonight we was talking about the dishes and loading the dishwasher.
Speaker 1:And I'll just say, tonight we was talking about the dishes and, you know, loading the dishwasher, you have to make sure that you rinse the dishes and you have to do this and I'll do that. And I have been thinking that the make sure you are washing the dishes or rinsing them off before you put them in the dishwasher, because they're not going to get clean enough. So I'm thinking that the dishwasher is messed up. I found out tonight that one of my children was just not washing the dishes, she just put them in there and stacking them in there.
Speaker 1:And I'm like, no, ok, so we have to be obedient in order to get things right, because if you're not obedient, then guess what? It's not going to be, it's not going to come out the way God wanted it to be. Just like the children of Israel, they, they, they 11 day journey. They walked around for 40 years. They had to put all those extra years on something that they could have been done with Right Because they was not obedient to God's word.
Speaker 1:Ok, so we have to know that we have to be obedient even in those times where we don't understand. Those times when we don't understand, okay, we have to know that we cannot be held back right From being immediate obedient to God's call. You know, we know that it's obstacles, we know that it's trials, we know that it's going to be tribulation, but we have to know that if God called us to it, he's going to take us through it. Right, and I know that's not a cliche, because I know a lot of people are like girl, that's so cliche, but it's true, it is so true, all right. So, anyways, we have to make sure that we are being obedient, okay.
Speaker 1:And so the last point is being available means trusting God's plan. Oh, that right there in itself is a lot, because that word trusting right we have to be able to know. So Samuel availability opened the door for God to speak clearly and entrust him with a significant prophetic role. Even though he was young and inexperienced, he trusted God, he trusted God's plan, and we have to know that trusting God's plans often requires us stepping out in faith, even when we don't fully understand what's ahead. God's strength compensates for our weakness, okay, so we know that we can trust the Lord and lean not to our own understanding, because we know that God is with us right, and I know that a lot of people have had trust issues or whatever.
Speaker 1:You know they want to be in control of everything. You know what I'm saying. You want to see how it's going to go from the root of the situation. You want to be able to have the say-so of everything. But when you're being available to God, you have to trust his plan. You have to trust the process. You have to trust that God will equip you for the task that he has called you.
Speaker 1:You know what I'm saying. He ain't going to send you out there and you ain't going to have what you need. You know God is going to always do that and that's you know. And, like I say, it's almost like I don't know why it's coming to my head, but it's like with us, with our children, when they getting ready to go to school. You ain't going to send them to school without what they need Most of that stuff, most of those lists, the school lists. They be like oh, you need this. You need some hand sanitizer, you need this, you, you need that, and, as parents that don't have multiple children, you'll be like you don't need all of that. You know what I'm saying? I'm gonna send you with what you need, and that's how God is, because sometimes we think that it take a whole lot, we think that it takes so much. You know some I know I talked to a few people. They be like well, I'm just trying to get myself together. If you get yourself together, then how God going to be able to help you, right, you know.
Speaker 1:So we have to make sure that we are not worrying about the equipment that God is going to give us, that we can just go and trust his plan, because we know that he is going to give us what we need. You know not all the time what we want. Some people think they need, they need the biggest house. I need to be seen, I need to be, I need to be in the front, I need to do this, I need to do that, and that's not what God is calling you for. He needs your voice, because it's somebody that is waiting on your voice in order for them to move, in order for them to do what they need, to know that we got to trust God's plan, regardless of how it looks, regardless of. You know what the task may be, we thinking that we need this and you don't. You know we have to give.
Speaker 1:Have that confidence, even when we feel unqualified or overwhelmed, are overwhelmed and when I say overwhelmed I am talking about when you feel tired in your spirit and tired in your soul. We know that the Bible say do not faint, okay, even in well-doing. You know we have to make sure that we are doing everything to be available for God. You know, you know what I'm saying and we have to just take some time to just focus on what God has called us to and saying here I am Okay. One of the scriptures that I want you to remember is 1 Samuel, 3 and 10.
Speaker 1:Speak, for your servant is listening. And if you can say, speak for your servant is listening, and know that you can do what God has called you to do and know that it's going to be available when God needs us, available because we know that we can get up when God tells us to do something, I know I'm one of the ones and I know if she was on here, elder Harvick would tell you, if God called me and told me to do something, I'm like, okay, god, all right, and I get right to it, especially if I prayed about it and got that confirmation and the thing about it. If God tell me, because I know his voice, I spend a lot of time with him, it don't take me long because I know that that's what God is, god is saying to do. I have to know that I can follow his word and I'm telling you this because it it can be done. Okay, I was, I was, I felt like I was the biggest procrastinator in the world, like I feel like I could get a war for that job. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:But for me now to be here and doing what God has called me to do, whether whether it's perfect or not, you know, I'm telling and I don't know why I'm going this way. But I'm looking and I've been looking at my book and I see errors and I'm like, oh my God, and it was bothering me. And it's like, no, god didn't never said that he wanted it perfect. Ok, he wanted it done and that is the main thing. We can't worry about perfection, we have to worry about doing it when God asks us to do it. Righteousness over right. I think I can't remember who said that. I heard, I think I heard my brother in law say that Righteousness over right. Okay, and so that is what we're doing. We want to make sure that we are available when God calls us and not when we feel like getting up and doing it. Right, okay, so, anyways, that is, that is it for tonight. I know y'all probably, like girl, I'm tired of hearing your voice. No, I'm excited. Thank you for whoever is on here I can't see it, but thank you for whoever is tuning in tonight.
Speaker 1:Everything that I have said will not take effect okay, I say this every week will not take effect. Okay, I say this every week. It will not take effect if you do not give your life to Christ. Okay, if you do not go to the one that can help you be available in those times, that can help you be able to hear God's word, that can help you to be able to know God's voice and recognize his revelation and what he wants you to do. Okay, so all you have to do is ask A-C-T-S. You can acknowledge that you are a sinner, you can confess with your mouth and believe with your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross.
Speaker 1:You can turn from your ways. They might not be evil, but they ain't pleasing, okay. You can turn from those ways and repent, okay. And then you can seek after a Bible-based church. You can seek after his face, okay, and make sure that you get around like-minded people, okay. Get around people that you know you are trying to go with. Okay, where you're trying to go, they are there. You want to get around those people and get you in a good community, okay.
Speaker 1:So, anyways, I thank you all again for tuning in. I tell you that God is so good. I tell you that God is so good. He is so good, he is so good, and I'm going to say a quick prayer and then I will let you go. All right, dear Heavenly Father, I come to you, god, I say thank you for this word. God, I thank you, and I know that it didn't fall on a stony ground. I know that you have allowed someone to hear this word that needed this word at this moment, because you giving it to me where I can give it to your people, god, and so I thank you now for allowing me to be able to speak your word. I thank you now for allowing me to stand behind that cross and to give what you have given me for your people, god, and I thank you now for just touching those ones that was tuning in. God, give them the strength to be able to do what needs to be done. God, allow them to be able to say yes when you call them God. God, allow them to know your voice. God, allow them to be able to spend more time with you, god, so they can recognize that you are calling them. God, allow them just to be able to be in your presence.
Speaker 1:God, we thank you now for what you have done on this night. We thank you now for going with the grieving hearts, god, god, touching those ones that have been grieving all week. God, we ask you to touch them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet. God, give them strength. Hallelujah, give them strength, god. God, go with those ones that are missing the loved ones during this holiday season.
Speaker 1:God, god, we just ask you to touch your people on tonight. God, we just thank you for who you are. We love you, god. We thank you now, god, for just ask you to touch your people on. Tonight, god, we just thank you for who you are. We love you, god. We thank you now, god, for all the ways that you have made God, the doors you have opened for your people, god, the ones that have gotten the yes God, the ones that have even gotten a no God, god, we know that it takes availability to even hear the yes and to be able to obey the no God. We thank you now, god, for what you're doing. We thank you now for going with your people. We love you, god, hallelujah. We love you, god, hallelujah. We love you, god, and we honor you and cherish you.
